Hello from my studio!

I travel, I dance, I paint, I cycle.

I experience different landscapesI paint . . . I move to musicI paint . . . I pedal and observeI paint . . . the colors, shapes and textures of nature inspire me.

I guess it all comes down to the creativity that permeates my life – in activities, in experiences, in relationships . . .

I started my career in interior design and I’ve been fortunate to own and manage a greeting card publishing company, work in various marketing positions and then, in a second career, be active as a Pilates trainer. I have always danced ; )

I lost my entire body of work in the 2017 Tubbs Fire in California. At that time, I had been painting found items from the beaches in the Puget Sound on broken slabs of granite. In sorting thru the fire, the slabs had survived but the painted images just blew off – so temporary. A year later, when I finally got back to the easel, I went BIG! A different perspective of the natural world. And I love it. I can dance the paint on!

So, thank you, Mom, for giving me the Craypas at age three and playing The NutCracker for me to dance to. Thank you, Dad for your military career that took me around the world to live and experience different cultures and scenery. Thank you, Fitness and Pilates for keeping me active all my life (and Mark for planning cycle adventures) so I can age well and continue to create. Nature is Art. And my best piece is my son, the PhD!

Thank you for viewing my work. I hope these pieces take you somewhere as well. And please feel free to contact me with questions.
